Costco had these on sale for $300, but there's also federal and local rebates for installation that bring it down to about $150 total. Took my time, and was about an hour to install after gathering all the necessary tools(!).

Hopefully, will keep the attic space a bit cooler through the summer.

Attic Fan Project - 3 - The fan, sans rivets

Attic Fan Project - 3 - The fan, sans rivets

The fan, freed from it's rivet-shackels. One of the most important things I learned on this project was how to remove rivets -- in this instance, I used a drill bit that could handle metal, drilled a short way into the head of the rivet, and it popped right off.
